Simon has a unique gift of attractive story telling that captivates his audience. His stories are a unique blend of current topical mixed with life experience from which he applies kernels of succinct truth. He does so, not alone by human endeavour, but with a Holy Spirit anointed, impacting message. I thoroughly recommend the man, his manner and message, as a very worthy way of communicating God’s good news to the world.

Simon led our church day away focussed on equipping the church for mission and evangelism. He led two sessions: The Lord of the Harvest and The Workers in the Field, exploring the different roles that God and the Church play in winning people for Christ. Simon’s excellent teaching was helpful and inspiring, and those who attended gave very positive feedback.

My name is Billie and I’ve been watching all the videos you’ve been posting during this time (During Covid). I have always referred to myself as a Christian. My mum used to take me to Sunday school as a child for a short time and it stuck. I have prayed every night for as long as I can remember. Although, I rarely attend church. Mostly because I have no one to go with and I’m painfully shy. During this time in lockdown I have found myself thinking about my faith more. Exploring it, praying harder, questioning things. And honestly your videos have been amazing for me. It’s very refreshing to hear a vicar discuss the trickier questions regarding Christianity. Questions I know I’ve thought of many times. For one thing, I realised I never stopped to think why Jesus died on the cross for us. I just knew he had. I feel my faith deepening massively since this lockdown began. I just wanted to say thank you so much. Your videos have really made me think, answered questions I had, given me hope, faith, and uplifted me during a really difficult time.

Firstly, can I start by thanking you for your work and in particular ‘Let’s Start From Here’. Such a simple message but certainly poignant and, coupled with other pieces of religious literature, has really helped strengthen me in such dark and unsettling times. I have recently been placed on remand here until my sentencing at the end of January and rediscovering my faith has left my outlook more positive and also left me with a sense of not feeling alone anymore – He is with me!

I’ve just read the book ‘Let’s Start from Here’, and I found it amazing and straight away wished the book was longer. I really loved it.
