60SG Mark 12:41-13:4

41-44 Sitting across from the offering box, he was observing how the crowd tossed money in for the collection. Many of the rich were making large contributions. One poor widow came up and put in two small coinsโ€”a measly two cents. Jesus called his disciples over and said, โ€œThe truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together. All the others gave what theyโ€™ll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldnโ€™t affordโ€”she gave her all.โ€

13 As he walked away from the Temple, one of his disciples said, โ€œTeacher, look at that stonework! Those buildings!โ€

2 Jesus said, โ€œYouโ€™re impressed by this grandiose architecture? Thereโ€™s not a stone in the whole works that is not going to end up in a heap of rubble.โ€

3-4 Later, as he was sitting on Mount Olives in full view of the Temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew got him off by himself and asked, โ€œTell us, when is this going to happen? What sign will we get that things are coming to a head?โ€
