Intelligent Design?

Sitting at my desk I’m confronted with an amazing array of products – pens, pencils, scissors, books, a computer, a printer, the list goes on and on.  What they all have in common is the fact that they are all the product of intelligent design.  If I were to suggest that all these things came into existence purely by chance you would quite rightly accuse me of bizarre and irrational thinking.

If I step out in to the garden I’m again confronted with a vast array of things – flowers, trees, insects, birds, animals the list goes on and on.  All of them made up of chemical and mechanical processes far more advanced than anything in my office.  What they all have in common of course, or so I’m told, is that they are there purely by chance, the result of the random collision of atoms over millions of years.  To suggest that they are result of intelligent design is to invite ridicule and be accused of bizarre and irrational thinking.

It rather seems to me that society is so determined the deny the existence of God, that we’re happy to defy logic and ignore the evidence staring us in the face.
