Binge watching history

For those of us who can’t wait to find out what happens next, the advent of streaming and the ability to binge watch our favourite TV series, has been a welcome innovation. No longer do we have to wait for a whole week between episodes, now we can watch them all in one sitting. So recently I binge watched the second series of Killing Eve, racing from one cliff-hanger ending to the next, and all in just two sittings. Now I know what happens in the end, although of course it finished on yet another cliff-hanger to set up a third series!

Well TV series are one thing, but what if it were possible to binge watch history? What if we could know what will happen in the end and so be able to make sense of what is going on now? Well we can. The last book of the Bible, Revelation, allows us to binge watch history and here’s how it ends, ‘The dwelling of God is with people and he will live with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’ Now that’s an ending worth waiting for!
